Apple iOS device management

When an Apple iOS device has been enrolled with DME, two extra panel sections are shown when you double-click the device in the Devices tab: Apple MDM and Apple profiles. From these panel sections, the following options are available for each enrolled device:

• Lock device
• Clear passcode
• Erase device
• Remove configuration or provisioning profile
• View and refresh list of installed configuration or provisioning profiles
• View and refresh list of installed certificates
• View and refresh list of restrictions pushed to the device

  Restrictions are pushed to the device in the form of configuration profiles.

Furthermore, you can:

• Show list of profiles uploaded to DME, and toggle them on or off for the current device or for a group of devices.

Finally, the general DME MDM options are available to iOS devices also:

• Delete device data. Unlike the Apple MDM command Erase device, which deletes the entire iOS device, the DME Delete command will only destroy DME data on the device - the entire DME container, AppBox apps, etc. See Delete device data.
• Force synchronization. When the device is connected with DME, you can send any type of synchronization or import command to the device. See Force synchronization for more about this.
