Existing DME MDM enrollment

A special integration process is required if you have been using DME for a while, and you have already enrolled Apple devices in DME.

When you enable external MDM, DME will require that all devices are MDM enrolled with MobiControl. To enroll the existing devices with MobiControl instead of DME, you need to do the following for each device registered in DME:

• Remove any DME certificates from all devices using the standard iOS procedure (Settings > General > Profile > Remove DME profiles)
• Remove the DME client from all devices

The DME client must be installed through the MobiControl installation process described later in this Appendix.

When a MobiControl-enrolled device connects to DME, DME will recognize the device by the DME device ID, and grant access.
